Catholic Sports Camps (CSC) are faith-filled experiences where leaders are built, sports are played, and faith is strengthened. As a nonprofit organization, our mission is to impact our Catholic faith by changing the future of one sports camper at a time. In 2017, Catholic Sports Camps gave away over $25,000 in scholarships to over 300+ campers.
This organization started as a collaboration between the Fishers of Men Apostolate, the Mike Sweeney Catholic Baseball Camp, and Fr. Burke Masters, the Chicago Cubs' Chaplain in 2013, and rapidly expanded by adding the Archdiocese of Chicago and Diocese of Joliet Vocations Offices, Bishop Paprocki- "the Holy Goalie", Fr. Chase Hilgenbrinck- "the Soccer Priest", Brittany Bock, Spirit Hockey Camp with Coach Quenneville of the Chicago Blackhawks, the Catholic Soccer Camp, the Catholic Volleyball Camp, the Catholic Basketball Camp, and the Catholic Football Camp with Pat McCaskey from the Chicago Bears.
CSC is a camp/retreat designed to be a fun, inspiring, and challenging week of sports with the integration of learning about the Catholic faith. Consistent across all camps, Mass, Confession, and Eucharistic Adoration is offered daily - campers are also instructed on the power of sacramentals like how to pray the Rosary. Although you need not be Catholic to attend, each camp offers an authentically Catholic experience where kids will learn from professional athletes who are on fire for the Lord. While local to the Diocese of Joliet in Illinois, the founders are working tirelessly to expand these programs to a national platform.
